Primarily, nurseries and gardens are looking for bamboo stakes. Bamboo can be used year round as a cheaper alternative to wooden stakes. Strong but light and flexible, bamboo stakes are cheaper to ship since they are lighter, easier to store since they take up less space, and are less visible than heavy wooden stakes should that be a concern.
